US: PCE (Aug) rose 1.5% YoY

FXStreet (Edinburgh) - The US Commerce Department informed that the US inflation, measured by the Personal Consumption Expenditures, rose 1.5% YoY during August, a tad lower than July’s 1.6%. On a monthly basis, prices rose 0.3%. The Core reading, which strips the food and energy costs, rose 1.5% over the last twelve months and 0.1% MoM. Personal Income expanded 0.3% on a monthly basis while Personal Spending rose 0.5%.
