Fed's Lacker: "It does not change my outlook" - hawkish
FXStreet (Guatemala) - Richmond Federal Reserve President Jeffrey Lacker was interviews on Fox Business news and maintained his hawkish tone.
He said that, despite the poor data, the fundamentals do not change, but he does not know and has not made a decision yet in respect to October's 27-28 policy meeting and whether there will be a rate hike. He said he was not swayed much by a slowdown in job growth and weaker-than-expected retail sales in September.
"It does not change my outlook."
The US dollar remains on the back -foot, despite his hawkish tone.
