BOE: Expectations of investment growth in the following two years were weaker
The Bank of England (BOE) published its latest Agents Summary of Business Conditions, with the key highlighted noted below.
Growth in activity had remained broadly stable.
A survey of investment intentions pointed to continued modest growth in spending over the coming year.
Expectations of investment growth in the following two years were weaker.
Recruitment difficulties intensified & were above normal in a range of activities, alongside continued modest employment growth.
BOE Agents report companies expect pay settlements next year of around 2.5-3.5%.
